Our Story
A return to making.
Fox Creative Works is a new chapter in a family tradition that began more than fifty years ago.
Johnnie Fox Sr., a cabinet maker who came to Parsons in 1968, opened Fox Cabinet Shop on this property in 1973. His son, Johnnie Fox II, began working alongside him at age twelve in 1977, growing up in the shop and learning the satisfaction that comes from making something useful with your own hands.
Fox Cabinet Shop built cabinets here until 1995. Years passed, the tools changed, and life moved in other directions—but the desire to make things never completely went away.
Then another generation wanted to build something.
Today, Johnnie's daughter, Hannah, works alongside him, and her interest in making things helped inspire the idea for Fox Creative Works. What started with a grandfather and son in a cabinet shop has come full circle, with a father and daughter creating together on the same property.
Fox Creative Works combines woodworking and traditional shop skills with CNC machining, laser engraving, and 3D printing. The tools may be different, but the idea behind the shop is much the same.
